Kwik Fit PitStop Challenge

Objective:

To bring together Kwik Fit's dealer network, elevate their team dynamics, and showcase the speed and precision of a Formula One™ style PitStop through training and competition over a two-day period, whilst combining engaging learning experiences, encouraging collaboration and maintaining performance under pressure, this really was High Performing Teams maintaining performance and consistency under pressure. 

Here's a breakdown of how this event achieved those goals: 

Day 1: Training and Preparation 

The first day saw each team undertake intense structured training sessions which included how to manage the equipment and understand the precise techniques and skills required to deliver a perfect PitStop. There was a real emphasis around the importance of teamwork, communication, precision, and high-performance dynamics. 

Day 2: Keynote Presentation: Consistently Performing Under Pressure & The Live PitStop Challenge

Leading motivational speaker and expert from Formula One™Mark Gallagher delivered the keynote ‘’how to consistently perform under pressure’’.

Drawing inspiration from Marks’ presentation and incredible insights, each team faced off in a timed PitStop simulation, with just one practice ahead of the competition timed run where only the fastest team would win! 

Large screens broadcast the live action around the arena showing the timing and performance of each team adding to the excitement and atmosphere. 

Bringing the event to a close, an awards ceremony recognised the overall top three fastest teams.

Conclusion:

This type of event is an excellent opportunity to merge learning and team-building within a competitive framework whilst leveraging the high-performance nature of a PitStop Experience. It emphasises both learning and fun, with the goal of creating an environment where the participants could directly apply principles of high-performing teams to their work back at Kwik Fit.
